Xiaomi has just confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone will be officially launched on April 18.
According to GizChina , Xiaomi 13 Ultra will focus on the camera department with outstanding design. It includes a rounded convex cluster different from the design language found on Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro to accommodate 4 separate cameras. The company promotes this camera system as going “above” the competition, and continues to rely on Leica’s expertise to make this phone one of the best photography smartphones.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra will equip a new lens system called Leica Vario-Summicron. The main camera will have an aperture of f/1.8 to improve light sensitivity and f/3.0 for telephoto photography. The setup also brings dual LED flash to aid in dark environments. The software will also play an important role in improving night shots and making them rich in detail. Rumors indicate that the main sensor on the phone will be a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989, combined with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and two 50MP telephoto cameras.
The leaks suggest that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. Inside the device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, combined with a 4,900 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be sold in the global market. In the Chinese market, the product is expected to cost about 6,300 yuan (21.49 million) for the standard model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory. It is likely that the price will be higher when landing in other markets.
The release of Xiaomi 13 Ultra is considered reasonable at this time, especially since the company does not intend to release any Xiaomi 13S model in 2023. The product will join the Xiaomi 13 Pro and 13 as models . The only high-end smartphone of the Chinese brand throughout 2023.
